For my existing clients
Your boarding rates from 2 January 2027
If you have boarded with me before, you are on a protected rate. It has not moved since January 2025, while new clients have been paying £85 a night for some time. From 2 January 2027 that changes.
| Your dog | Now | 2 Jan 2027 |
|---|---|---|
| 20kg & Under | £77 | £82 |
| 20.5kg to 30kg | £80 | £85 |
| 30kg & Over | £83 | £85 |
| Morning to afternoon stay | £70 | £80 |
Boarding goes up by £5 a night, and no rate goes above £85. That is the same price a new client pays, so the biggest dogs go up by £2 rather than £5. Raw food stays included, as it always has been.
Why
Everything it takes to run the house has gone up for two years. Raw food, insurance, fuel, vet supplies, heating. I have carried that rather than pass it on, and I have now got to the point where I have to move.
I still take only a small number of dogs at a time. I am not going to take more of them, and I am not going to cut anything, to hold an old price.
What is not changing
- Nothing changes before 2 January 2027. Every stay up to then is at the price you have now.
- Any booking you have already confirmed keeps the price you were quoted, even if the stay itself falls after 2 January 2027.
- The Christmas season charge is unchanged. Nights from 24 December to 1 January are £10 extra per night, exactly as they are now.
- Your dog stays in my home, with me, on the same routine and the same standard of care. Nothing about the service is being reduced.
You do not need to do anything. Your account and your bookings carry on as normal, and the new rate will simply show on your quote from 2 January 2027. If anything here is not clear, message me on WhatsApp or email ask@thesighthoundguy.com and I will go through it with you.
Thank you for staying with me, and for trusting me with your dog.
